Dr. Kaindl and his team are specialists in periodontics and implantology. We specialize in conservative and surgical treatment of gum disease including cosmetic procedures to aesthetically enhance your smile, as well as dental implants that can replace single or multiple missing teeth.
Although no one likes to go to the doctor or dentist, we strive to make your visits with us as comfortable and pleasant as possible. We strongly believe that our patient’s comfort is an important part of quality dental care.
Drs. Kaindl believes it’s your right to choose a periodontist is an important freedom. We work closely with your dentist, but a referral by a dentist is not required to visit our office. We also welcome referrals from patients and friends of the practice.

WHAT IS A PERIODONTIST?
A periodontist is a dentist who specializes in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of periodontal (gum) disease and in the placement and maintenance of dental implants. Periodontists are experts in the treatment of all forms of periodontal disease, including gingivitis, periodontitis, and gingival recession. The American Dental Association recognizes periodontics as one of the nine specialties of dentistry. Periodontists receive extensive training, including three years of additional education beyond dental school.

MEET OUR DOCTORS
ANDRE R. KAINDL, DDS DMD
Dr. Kaindl has practiced in Oregon, California and Washington. He was the Head Director of Hospital Dentistry in Innsbruck, Austria while also maintaining a private practice in Periodontics/Prosthodontics.
He and his wife Doris have returned to Oregon and are excited to become community members of Salem. Dr. Kaindl’s extensive dental experiences began in Germany where he received his Dental Lab Technician Degree in Bavaria, Germany, and earned a DMD from Ludwig Maximillian University School of Dentistry in Munich, Germany. Dr. Kaindl earned his dental degree from Loma Linda Dental School in California. While in Germany, Dr. Kaindl completed a residency in Prosthodontics before returning to Oregon and completing his Specialty Periodontal Residency at OHSU.
Dr. Kaindl continually pursues ongoing education in the fields of Periodontics and Implantology.
He is a member of the Academy of Periodontology and Marion Polk County Dental Society. He and his wife Doris are active outdoor enthusiasts and love to spend time in nature. They enjoy biking, hiking and especially living a healthy lifestyle due to the wonderful produce and fruits they enjoy growing and preserving.
